An ExecuNet survey of senior executives shows executives could use some assistance when they want to make their next career move:

Three  out of four employed executives who are not actively looking for a job say they would know how to make a job change if they decide to do it. They are much more confident than the executives who are actually looking; only 48 percent of them say they are confident they know what they want  to do and how to get there.

Executives may think they are prepared,  but the reality is that only 20 percent find their job search strategy works once they start actively looking. In fact, only half of them even have a strategy and many are not actually following it.
