Robert Wyatt

Personal Career Strategist

Bob provides strategic guidance and coaching to help ExecuNet members land their next opportunity. This involves uncovering their unique personal value proposition and defining competitive differentiators to advance their careers. This also includes providing detailed feedback for improving a member’s search strategy and personal marketing collateral—well beyond their résumé.

His 25-year career includes extensive work in executive recruiting, development, counseling, and career management. In addition, the perspective gained working with executives across multiple industries and functional specialties allows him to provide insight into how employers evaluate candidates and how and why candidates are selected.

Following service in the Air Force working with senior military officers and government officials, Bob began a career in the retail industry. He was ultimately recruited as the first corporate Vice President of Human Resources for the Bombay Company in Fort Worth. Later, leveraging his human resource experience, he transitioned to executive search and consulting joining a national boutique firm. Subsequently, Bob was recruited to Korn/Ferry International, conducting searches for leading retail, consulting, and information technology firms.

In addition to ExecuNet, Bob is the Founder and Managing Director of R.S. Wyatt Associates, Inc., a retained executive search firm, serving retail, consumer products, and service industries. He also founded the Southlake affiliate of the Career Transition Workshop sponsored by Whites Chapel UMC teaching the necessary skills for a successful career with a loyal group of volunteer mentors. The holistic focus of this training enabled many graduates to find not just new jobs, but new and better lives. Bob was a Board Member for the nonprofit Humaneering Institute and Executive in Residence at the Texas A&M Center for Retail Studies.

Bob’s interest in the application of emerging social science research in the workplace began early. He earned a BS in Psychology from Denison University, and a MBA and PhD from Golden Gate University, with an employee selection concentration. He is also a published author.
